Project for Robotanks

Photo & Video

Project Start

• Task: create photo and video content for Robotanks.
• Client request: focus on photography; several short simple videos for social media and one wide-format video for website and presentations.
Content will be used in marketing and for internal reference.

• Work began with an on-site visit, analysis, and preparation of technical documentation to determine what needs to be captured.

We identified the types of work and machinery to document. We also agreed to small location changes for two filming days and scheduled final shoots with full equipment.
Filming took two days: photography on day one and video on day two.

Post-production and final delivery are ready!

How we create films, behind the scenes

Backstage
Preparation on the filming set

Day one:

lights, camera, photography. We follow a route planned in advance, documenting every stage of production. A factory of this scale is far from a cozy studio. It has its own atmosphere: dust, metallic noise that makes it difficult to hear one another, and a constant working rhythm.

Day two: video, sparks and increased danger

Camera, lights, but this time with considerably more equipment and a much more difficult task: capturing the dynamics of the work processes. Grinding metal creates striking visuals, but the small cone of sparks is a direct threat to the equipment. One wrong step, and a spark can burn through a softbox or leave a permanent mark on the lens. Welding brings its own challenges: alongside the sparks, there is an extremely bright arc that can simply burn out the camera sensor from the wrong angle. We worked close to the limits, protected the optics, and captured these mesmerizing shots safely.
